Ronaldo has won 29 trophies in his illustrious career that includes six league titles, five UEFA Champions Leagues, one UEFA European Championship, and one UEFA Nations League. He holds the records for the most goals scored in the UEFA Champions League (128) and the joint-most goals scored in the UEFA European Championship (9). In his professional career so far, he has scored more than 700 goals for his clubs and country. His five Ballons d’Or and four European Golden Shoes are the most for a European player.
Time named Ronaldo in its list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2014. Forbes ranked him as the world’s highest-paid athlete in 2016 and 2017. ESPN named him as the world’s most famous athlete from 2016 to 2019.
In 2015, Ronaldo donated £5 million to the relief effort after the earthquake in Nepal which killed over 8,000 people. Following that, he was named the world’s most charitable sportsperson in 2015.
